LH has a program where medical doctors pre-register so are known on the manifest when they are flying. LH indemnifies them against liability for their actions, but not sure what the "thank you" bonus offered might be.
The LH program, is that you preregister with them, and they give you 5000 Miles and More for doing so. The fact that you are registered goes on your miles and more file and on the manifest each time you fly.
As for indemnity on AC, apparently if a physician is relucatant to help because of liability concerns, the crew has documents that essentially make you a temporary AC employee and as such are covered under their liability.
