I called to request an extension, but they would not honor my request. The CO rep confirmed that if I had been given the status match after June 1, then it would expire Feb, 2009. It doesn't seem quite fair, but I suppose they had to pick a cutoff date... it just isn't one I like. I really didn't need the status until after June anyway... since I've already booked much of my travel until July.

Unfortunately, a good deal of my travel is in the 1st qtr of each year, so I will not qualify for Platinum next year.
