That is EXACTLY what happens!!! Early the next morning we are swamped with cusotmers that were due in the night before and once a reservation is in place we need to have a car for that customer. Glad to hear that a car was available from Budget...as long as no one is stranded anywhere.
Ahhh... that's the part I was missing - I didn't realize reservations carry over to the next day. (Which you'll have to admit is really odd!)
Heh - compare to my experience with Avis in Germany, which gave me attitude for showing up four hours late for a reserved car...
