I think Bermuda is lovely and worth a visit! I went in late May once and the weather was quite suitable for the beach (and I am not one from one of those places where they think 18 degrees C is good beach weather ). It definitely lacks the fast pace of New York or London, but you are likely going there to relax, anyway. It has much that "big" locations have to offer (i.e., restaurants, stores, tourist sites, etc.), but on a smaller scale. If you enjoy golf, snorkeling, or shopping, Bermuda should suit you well.

As others said, Bermuda can be expensive to visit, but there are a number of guest houses / self-catering apartments (with swimming pools and maid service) that can be booked for reasonable prices.
