I tend to agree. I've yet to see anyone actually use it after regular boarding starts anyways, so what difference does it really make? Those people would've gotten priority boarding anyways. Personally, if I'm flying F I wouldn't even use it because I would feel like a jerk for cutting in line.

Actually, I have used it after boarding has started. I had a very short connection in SFO from RNO to a flight to IAD. After I got to the gate and saw the Group 2 line, I walked on to the red carpet and got boarded immediately (the GA did it correctly.. dealt with the person whose BP she was holding, questioned whether I deserved to be on the carpet, then boarded me).
