No, JFK-FRA-SIN is definitely considered Atlantic Ocean. It's tougher for First Class, as you have to score the one JFK-FRA flight each way. If you go via the Pacific, your choice of flights with FC service doubles (or more). You can go SFO-HKG-SIN, LAX-NRT-SIN, and I believe LAX-ICN-SIN.

Be careful on the flights out of Canada though, I don't believe they offer First Class.
