I stayed at the 4 points last year when on a stopover. I found that although the rate was good, the room was sh#te! It smelled like a combination cigar/baked bean conference had been held in it. I was too tired to complain at the time and had only paid us$50 for it. The bar had an interesting selection of "international beers", but funnily enough, nothing from Aus or NZ. Mainly Belgian and German. I had my dinner in the restaraunt downstairs and sat at the counter like I was at a roadside diner. Meal was similar to what sizzler might do here in Oz. I didn't bother with breakfast.
Overall, I could have complained but not really worth worrying about. I must put in a good word for the concierge, he put me onto a really good (Cheesy) Hollywood tour. Cost me about us$40 but had a ball with the other passengers, who were all Aussies and Kiwis.
The best thing was watching the two lines of planes coming in either side of the hotel. Amazing.
