Not sure if MD's are given complimentary memberships, but when a certain immediate family member (one of my parents) reached Level 7 (out of 9), they were allowed to purchase a membership. I don't think their title was MD though. Even when they got to Level 8 they still had to pay.

You are correct. I was typing faster than I was thinking. I'm even feeling ambitious enough to go revise my original post.
OT, but when I departed AA, there were no more Lev 7 MD's...only Lev 8s. And Lev 9 didn't exist anymore. Above 8, you were a VP.
