I made the cancellations over the phone today and the points have not yet been redeposited though I have received email confirmations of the cancellations. Any one have any ideas if this will put me in the bad books of SPG or is it just business as usual for them?
Business as usual for them. Nothing to worry about (particularly if there's no near-term redemption in the picture and you cancelled before the cancellation deadline passed).
