hhhmmmm... from what I noticed and understood mandarin has become the first language in Shenzhen, might have to do with the huge afflux of immigrants in a few years - cantonese can't hurt though - in GF's house alone they mix cantonese, chao zhou, keke and mandarin... quite confusing...
