Thanks for the info. I was staying at the Phillips a few weeks ago and made a quick trip over to the Muehlebach and subsequently to the Marriott. I saw absolutley no one in the Muehlebach tower except one housekeeper that warned me to have my cell phone with me if I decided to try the elevator as the one operational had been getting stuck...not a great first impression. Lobby areas were very nice, but again, without anyone there it just seemed odd. Took the link over to the Marriott and it was also a ghost town. Ran into 3 people total, all but one Marriott employees. This was about 5 PM on a Sunday so I was suprised to see so few in either property. If there is no real advantage or historical essence to the Muehlebach rooms, I will probably just ask for the original Marriott tower. I usually stay at the airport Marriott or DT Hyatt but wanted to try some different places (hence the Phillips stay, and now the Marriott DT).
