Thanks. I must say I find it rather confusing when they make all these status miles, cabin bonus, etc...
If I read this correctly, I will get:
Base miles + cabin bonus
(But no status bonus, therefore, to move up to gold, this trip isn't going to help me one bit...?)
I think I'm still slightly confused between status miles versus status credits.</font>
You are confusing Status Bonus (points) with Staus Credits.
You get bonus points (miles) based on your current status (WP get 100% of base, SG gets 50% of based etc). These are only provided on QF and AA flights.
You also get a cabin bonus, with 50% for F and 25% for J.
You get Status Credits, which count towards reaching the next status level, on all OneWorld flights. These are based on distance bands and fare purchased. These are the same for all OneWorld flights and for all FF members. And for each 250 Status Credits you earn one Upgrade Credit.
You also earn beer points for each consumption of a beer in a QC lounge. For each 10 BC's earned in a single visit you get a free hangover. Light beers are credited at a 50% discount.
See, it is all as clear as a squid-infested goldfish bowl
