Sad to say, there is no good hotel in jamestown. (My husband grew up there and we do spend a lot of time there.) The only real hotel is the Holiday Inn - very dated, but it is "downtown" - if you could consider Jamestown as evev having a downtown ... though there are some bars, and a few restaurants in walking distance.
My personal choice would be the Hampton Inn - but it isn't a real hotel, no room service, and by the highway, so you'd have to drive for dinner (or walk to some chain accross the street , forget which one). But it is new, clean, and that great Hampton Inn bedding.
