There are a few hotels by the airport. I recall seeing a Ramada, which looks fairly new from the outside. I cannot vouch for its quality, though.

I would reccomend going down town as you will have 26 hours in Shanghai. Hotels on the PuDong side will be more convenient to PVG. Taxis are cheap and the Maglev is also an option (but not the most convenient option).
