Yes, very much!

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Executive square view, upgraded to Penhouse Suite. The room was booked via Amex using the Fine Hotel + Resort program which also includes an upgrade.

How are the rooms?
The rooms are excellent. They may not have the latest entertainment gear, but all the furnishings are very classy. The Penthouse suites are duplex suites. The lower level has an entry hall, a living room with a desk, and a toilet. The upper level has the sleeping room (which has a honeymoonish feel), the bath and a very small balcony. I think there are only two Penthouse Suites in the hotel.

The minibar was well stocked, with several 375ml or 500ml bottles of spirits (we did not use them though), half bottles of red and white wine, a small bottle of Champagne, etc.

The room felt somewhat larger than the Executive Suite I stayed in last time. The bath in the Executive Suite felt larger though.

How is the exec. lounge?
N/A

What was good/bad?
This is simply an excellent hotel and I find it hard to find a fault. Sitting outside next to the Amstel and enjoying food and drinks is always great.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Yes, I will definetly return.

AMSTEL IC

My wife and I have just stayed three nights at the Amstel on a rewards stay - even on the points stay we received full RA benefits including upgrade to an Executive Suite - see report

I can only endorse what a lovely hotel this is.
