Thanks but nope I already did that and mentioned it above. That was one of the first things I did try. For some reason the physical modem is found via the sondra program but nothing else. So I have to say I have some software glitch someplace that really messed up. As I said, before this happened and it took a day or two then everything magically went back to normal. So I haven't opened it up today yet and am crossing my fingers. Atleast this has me working on my Vista machine
