I'd say even 1.4 cents per mile seems way too high. Heck, if Chase is paying $300-$400 just to get us to sign up for a card, why don't they just offer that to us in cash, I'd sure they'd get boatloads of people signing up for their cards if they could get $300 cash.

I bet they pay about 0.5-0.7 cents a mile to UAL. I'm sure back when Chase virtually bailed UAL out from bankruptcy with their upfront payment of these "miles", they got a smoking deal...................................
