Doh! I knew the latest UK budget had something in it that affected flights, but I forgot to look up what it was. Yikes, for a full flight that's nearly 4,500 GBP/9,000 USD! Helluva tax Imagine the tax revenue on a busy weekend at LGW or LHR, staggering. I'm now going to look at each passenger walking around as a value rather than a person, especiall as I'm queueing at passport control. Cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-ching!

This would be a great trip to see how awful the new coach experience is with the reduced pitch as its pretty empty, but on the other hand, I rather like getting some sleep. The debate goes on.
