I have to endure Chautauqua fairly regularly now since the late flight to MCI is now a CRJ flight. I actually didn't mind the CRJ, I thought the seat was more comfortable than an ERJ. I was really surprised as I'd really avoided CRJs in the past b/c of the criticism they get on this board but the CO-EX CRJs aren't the end of the world.
Gate B84 is terrible, I think calling it a Greyhound station is being kind. I know the gate agents have access to the PA system because they use it to announce gate changes, so why in the world do they insist on yelling out boarding calls rather than use the PA?
They really do tend to favor gate A and B for no seemingly good reason. As mentioned this creates a situation where you have a ton of people on that end of the gate area and none on the other end, seems like someone should try some common sense when scheduling departures down there.
Even with all the negatives of Gate 84, I can't say that it is much if any worse than the rest of Terminal B, the whole place is an over crowded cesspool. I wish I could avoid the terminal altogether, but the only 737 flights to KC aren't scheduled very conveniently.
