Are we not all adults here? Where do we get off blaming BA for the state this forum is in?
Fine, yes I agree, BA has gone on a fast track to ruin but why should that make a difference to this board? Sure enough our moods and feelings toward BA will have some knock on effect but is it really to the extent that would cause this place to loose its fun factor? I think the opposite should be happening as we should be banding together to help us all deal with the inevitable with regards BA.
As someone who came to this forum from another place where hate mail seems to be the norm, the BA board was, and still is, a nicer place to hang out. For crying out loud I even joined BAEC and flew more with BA because of this place.
The BA crowd were a lot of fun, and yes could be a little cliquey. But so what? It wasn't hard to join in the fun, even if one didn't understand the history of the board.
I think this place has changed more because over the last few months there have people vocalising what they think was wrong with the board.
It is too cliquey
It is too OT
Too much smut
Too much talk of fluffy toys
That with the constant questioning of the Mods has turned this place into what it is today. Vanilla BA board.
Well we got what we asked for.
Was it too much to ignore threads you didn't like? Was it too much to ignore posts that were "off"? Was it too hard to deal with Mod issues the correct way, in private by PM?
I no longer join in the banter that used to make threads on this forum fun. It is quite obvious to me that I am not the only one who has stopped playing the game.
Flame away
Moomba My Sweet. YOU were described to me in terms that make being a Mucci insufficient an honour. You are a lovely man and I would think incapable of saying anything nasty about anybody.
When you mention "fluffy toys" - were we referring to the way that I am treated by a certain Flier?
Well - I can see the way that this thread could go but I am a great believer in life being what you make it and I think that if we do not like it we had better do something about it.
I shall finish the TFTG - eventually. It competes with the Dyson and the Bosch (s) (washing machine and dishwasher) for my attention.
So until one of you supplies me with the maid that I so patently deserve (no Phil Darling no more promises) or VC10Boy (I really do not mind which) to come and launder HI's and my clothes and ironing (I now get Sainsbury's to deliver) - you will have to be patient.
