I stayed at the ES in Minneapolis a few years ago and was upgraded to a 2 BR suite. There was a very large living room area with a full refrigerator (not the mini-fridges that are standard and a wet bar (no booze, however). There were 2 bathrooms and both bedrooms were larger than normal. ^
Unfortunately, I was staying by myself on a business trip and really did not need the space, and in fact, did not spend much time in the room. I thought about asking to exchange to a normal suite (to give someone else the chance to take advantage of the 2 BR suite), but it was late and seemed like too much of a hassle to go back down and ask to be un-upgraded. Interestingly, when I checked in, they did not mention that I was receiving an upgrade (or maybe I wasn't paying attention). Usually, on the occasions where I have received an upgrade, they almost always tell you at check-in.
