Now THAT has to be one of the truest statements I've seen here....
I'm tempted to launch into that, "You don't know you've been born. When I were a lad, we had to get up before we went to bed, walk up hill both ways to school in the snow, ...." kind of speeches. Yeh, sure, BA & and this Forum may not be quite what they were (I wasn't here so I can't comment) but they've still got a long way to fall.
I've commented in another thread that I think these forums seem to take on the characteritics of the host airline, as well as the characteristics of the nation in which the airline is based, presumably because that forms the bulk of the posters. Dave_C's comment that
British Airways has always stood for quality. I don't think it does any more. In fact, I'm not sure what they stand for. Maybe that's the problem, BA has changed and the experience isn't as consistently good any more. Perhaps that's why people here are more grumpy/tetchy because they are mirroring the way the airline is headed?.
seems to me to ring pretty true as well. Sadly the current BA management seems to only understand on the cost side of the profit equation, and to lack the pizzazz that drives the revenue, though they ain't got nothing on Arprey and the AA board.
