My direct flight from NRT to LAX has suddenly been routed through Honolulu(with equipment change) according to my on-line itinerary. I specifically booked a direct flight to deal with specific circumstances and am a little bit peeved by this change TWO days before departure. A call to UA just now did not clear up why the flight was changed (agent guessed it had to do with staff not getting enough rest - but they had two days to deal with this!) and to make it worse, I was told that it was unclear which connecting flight I would be taking and what time I would actually arrive back in LA. Is this common? Since I specifically bought a direct ticket, am I entitled to some form of compensation? UA is making it hard for me to remain a loyal customer!
