Never has happened. They just look up the card in a large three-ring binder. Why would they swipe the card when nothing is supposed to be billed on it?
Maybe they charge you to enter DL lounges in the US but not in Europe.
They don't charge for DL access in the US, but my card has also been swiped every time I go into one. Of course, it doesn't look like they do anything with the swipe; no reciept prints out and I have never seen a charge, but it must be a validator machine or something of the sort
