I too have been to Nepal and it was refreshing to find McDonalds was NOT there. There were a lot of good local restaurants in Katmandu where I enjoyed India and other food.

I did not even miss my Filet O Fish, the only thing I order at McDonalds or White Castle. (I don't eat any McDonald's hamburgers, esp. after having In and Out.)
