If you have just bought a WC membership and no physical card, they can just look up your WP# and check if you have a WC membership. I was wandering around NRT waiting for a SQ flight when I decided to pop in to check out the WCs - I didn't have my card, but both of them let me in just by looking up my WP number and ID.

BKK would need a physical card, I guess.
