Expect very high level of attentive service from the SQ girls and boys. You will be so spoiled after that flight that you will never want to return to Y or even C!
How is the SQ "suite", with much less privacy and about 8 inches less width, more comfortable than the new F seat on ANA? I did both in Feb this year and found ANA to be MUCH better than SQ, and not just with the seat. You practically disappear into that ANA F suite.

The FAs on ANA were better than those on SQ when it came to service and watching out for passengers' needs. SQ was also a bit "sloppy" with presentation when it came to the meal. I have never quite understood the hype with SQ (yes, I've been in their F at least 10 times). JAL, CX, NH are all at LEAST on equal grounds or better.

ANA has a much larger food selection in F as well, with multiple snacks and a true "a la carte" system in between the usual meal times. With SQ you get to pick from a few cheap "snacks" (read: instant noodles or sandwiches, crisps, chocolate bars, fruit), while on ANA (and JAL) you can pick from about 10 a la carte dishes that are actually GOOD quality. SQ also will not let you pick and choose items from the general menu as a snack (so you cannot order caviar half-way through the flight), whereas with ANA this is an option.
