Just spent one night in AMS this week and stayed at the Pulitzer, which was a nice stay. However, I doubt you could get 4 in one room there. In the evening, the line for the Anne Frank House is much shorter, and could be a great experience for the teens. (the House is about a block from the Pulitzer).

On Fridays, I believe some of the museums are open until 9pm.
