It was too late to reroute last night as ours was the last London flight. No-one seemed interested in rerouting us today despite shiny cards anyway, but I think it would have not been much quicker as all the flights seem to leave late at night.
What has happened so far: After four hours on the plane we were bussed to the terminal and put in the lounge. We then had to wait for immigration to agree to let us into the country, which seemed to take forever.
After two and a half hours we were walked around the airport to several immigration desks, until we found the economy passengers. We queued behind them and had to surrender our passports to the Thai immigration.
Eventually seven hours after the fault arose, we were taken to the Novotel at the airport, which was actually very good (dont think Novotel in europe). This was 6.30am local time.
After being told initially the flight would not go until Sunday evening, we were then told that the flight would go at 11.30pm this evening. We were collected at 8.00pm and are now back in the lounge, having been re-united with our passports.
Hopefully we will be back in London at 5.00am tomorrow.
