As a sub topic - why are Corporate Reservations / Issued Tickets held in the 'Other' group?
I have found that the 'Other' group will not automatically default to the 72-hour upgrade rule either. It seems that upgrades are the sole responsibility of the traveler if tickets are purchased through a corporate travel agent - which means calling to be put on the upgrade list. Which brings me to the next question - how is one positioned on the list? Obviously, we are sorted by status, MVPG and MVP. What are the next criteria - Date of purchase or Fare basis? Are there any procedures the travel agent can do (or not do) to have these ticket purchases be treated the same as a ticket purchased directly with AS?
