To all reading this thread: If you feed negativity, it grows. If you starve it, it dies.

There are people who enjoy creating and perpetuating negative threads, all the way from the ultra-trolls to the merely acerbic. Some people enjoy trying the moderator's patience by treading just inside the limits of tolerable behavior. That's where I need cooperation from everyone else to starve the negativity.

It takes willpower to resist rebutting slurs against a company you like, but you need to trust FT readers to sort out truth from nonsense. Your fellow FT members are more than equal to this task. As the saying goes, never argue with a fool, because then people might not be able to tell you apart.

I hope I have made myself clear. If not, I suppose I could close the thread, but I'd rather try using this as a learning experience for everyone. If you all try to get along, that makes it much easier for the moderator to see who needs special attention.
