I am not on this forum to defend JetBlue at every opportunity. The meltdown happened and as a crewmember I was embarassed and disgusted at our operation. We are in the early stages but positive changes are happening. By the way were you flying over the nor'easter. If only you had some appreciation of the challenges involved in operating 170,000 lbs of equipment safely in 40 MPH winds at 160 MPH on an approach to landing. The maximum crosswind component on most commercial airliners is 30-35 knots. There is little room for error.
JB will NEVER win everyone over, no Carrier will ever be able to do that.True JB advertised itself different from the others, so there will be those who will hold JB feets up to the fire every time they miss. Yet wont compliment JB whenever they score. Such is life.
I dont believe theres an Airline Forum on FT where you wont find the samething. Especially when it comes to the Carriers website and what one can do online, too numerous to nam ethem all and not enough time left in my lifetime to do so either.
I would hope that before JB starts up again with opening up new cities to serve that they would get what they have going into shape, why add potential problems to the problems already at hand. A nasty summer of Hurricanes in the Southeast will set JB back again.
