I am not on this forum to defend JetBlue at every opportunity. The meltdown happened and as a crewmember I was embarassed and disgusted at our operation. We are in the early stages but positive changes are happening. By the way were you flying over the nor'easter. If only you had some appreciation of the challenges involved in operating 170,000 lbs of equipment safely in 40 MPH winds at 160 MPH on an approach to landing. The maximum crosswind component on most commercial airliners is 30-35 knots. There is little room for error.
You are preaching to the choir. I flew back on Monday morning on Continental Express, and the pilot was having a hard time keeping the wings straight during landing. We must have been only 500 feet above the ground, and the wings were still rocking like crazy. Whoever my pilot was earned his/her money that day when they put the plane right on the centerline. This past weekend was not the weekend to be flying.
