SSW Cert for client but on wrong flight
Hi there, I’ve been lurking on this site for some time and have received great value from everyone’s advice and tips.
I have a quick question about if should take an issue to customer service or not and how likely I would be in getting any recourse if I do so.
On a recent trip, DCA-YYZ-YVR-YYJ, I was traveling with a client. At check in at DCA my client showed me his itinerary and it was less than ideal. I offered to cover the change fee and provide a SSW so that we could travel together up front. The agent was very harried with over bookings on other flights etc. but all went off without a hitch, apparently.
On the short DCA- YYZ leg I sat with my client but when we got to YYZ I found that we had actually been booked on flights leaving 1hr apart to YVR but still getting into YYJ at the same time. I likely don’t need to tell you that my motivation was to get some time with my client so I see the SSW as wasted. Is this worth pursuing or just spilled milk at this point?
