Yet when I checked on flights into EWR that CO flies NS no problems with most of their flights. So it can vary even among airports in any given city.
All the major airlines generally have personel who try to coordinate their flight operations with ATC. Companies like CO, AA, UA etc often delay their express flights from downline stations so that larger aircraft are not as delayed at their hub. Unfortunately companies with no express operations do not have the advantage of this practice.
