Why is a code share needed. The last time I asked if I flew AA US to LHR and BA LHR-TLV Id get all Bonuses for class etc. The only thing one cant do is fly BA between the US and LHR.

BA flights earn full aa credit in f j w y and B the rest earn 25% i think.
not all of us are as luck as you to fly ba F all the time
for those of us who fly to tlv in Y we would not earn full credit on the ba lhr-tlv leg. if it was aa coded we would earn full points and miles even in a discount y seat
