TWA didnt have rent a crews in Israel. It had their own, there are many laws in Israel that protects the workers when a company goes under. So TW flew its flight out of TLV 1 night and informed everyone that the JFK-TLV was cancelled due to MX (mechancial reasons) the real reason was to prevent the plane from being ceased by the Isreali courts to be sold in order to pay off TWa debts not only to its workers who got Nothing.

When AA purchased TW even though AA said it wasnt purchasing TWs TLV biz etc , the Isreali court didnt hold by that and holds that AA is still the legal responsible party that owes TWs debts.
