Other than the obvious questions (Did you pack your own bag, Has it left your sight), what would the penalty be for giving the contracter a blank stare and ignoring or refusing to answer their questions, I wonder?

Not allowed to fly? Would that violate the contract of carriage?

Maybe tell them that the answers to all those questions violate your non-disclosure agreement with your company, and give them a business card for your legal department.
