There are many, many options out there for you. I would recommend starting at http://www.alaskaair.com/as/mileagep...gePartners.asp and peruse the various partner categories. Most of the suggestions previously mentioned are all good (I don't recommend "overdrafting" your Mileage Plan account). Another easy way not previously mentioned is www.mileageplanshopping.com. It's a third-party site that links to many popular online merchants, such as FTD, Nordstrom, Harry & David, REI, and others. By going through that site first to get to those merchants, you can earn from 1-20 miles per $1, plus whatever miles you earn with your AS Visa, if that's how you choose to pay. FTD is the best, at 20 miles/$1, as it's easy to spend at least $50.00 with them (~1,000 miles) and Mother's Day is just around the corner! Also note that you earn more miles with FTD by going through mileageplanshopping.com rather than the link from alaskaair.com directly.
