Offer to buy things/tickets for close friends! Me and my very close buddies have a system where we funnel charges from specific merchants through each others' cards.

For example, I value my Amazon Visa rewards points so they send their Amazon spending through me and just pay me back at the end of my cycle. My friend values his Nordstrom Visa, so I push my Nordies spending through him...Obviously this will only work if you trust your friends to repay you, but it is an option for when you have none!
