I know the Airbuses make weird noises (my favorite being the hydrolics when they taxi on 1 engine, that freaks out everyone in the wing section), but I've never heard this one before.
Anyone else?
The Airbuses are great - quiet and comfy - but they do make funny noises! I remember a few years ago, not long after I joined US, flying transatlantic from MAN to PHL. After takeoff, there were grinding noises like a giant dentist's drill! I now know this was the hydraulics and is normal, but I did get a tad shaky when I heard it! The FA explained only Envoy hears it, since there is little engine noise there. Coach doesn't hear it due to the engines.
