Right off the top I'm at 2.0 RDM/BIS because of 1P status. Random promotions push that to about 2.5 overall. I seldom chase after the promotions. They're hard to keep track of, and they don't affect my travel pattern much. I've already chosen UA as my primary long-haul carrier for a variety of reasons, and a "10% off here" or "2x RDM there" offer has little impact on why, or when, or where I fly.
