I was due to go to bali this coming saturday on qantas with my wife and 4 friends....We had planned a night at the Sari Club.
My thoughts are with those who have family members missing.
We can be very quick to bag qnatas when we see fit, but they are really working hard to get people home. Thay are running extra flights and helping others make arrangements.
they have also offered us a full refund of our tickets with no cancellation fee. Thanks for this guys...we really appreciate that. we are now planning to spend a week in Noosa instead. Also think about the people of Bali who rely entirely on tourism for their income. I am so sorry for them, they have been the most gracious hosts to us over the years. I hope Australia helps them now they need it most. I am very sorry to cancel my trip, knowing that it may be one trip out of thousands that will be cancelled over the next few days. I will do my best to get back over there soon, but my wife comes first, and I cannot place her at risk.
There are many people on this board who have enjoyed time in Bali, maybe we as a group can do something to help out in the near future. Any ideas????? Money does not seem enough at this stage.
