I doubt, and really don't blame them. The weather here got really bad, and you didn't have to take the reroute. All the Texas weather forecasts had been predicting significant severe weather all week, so it was not a suprise.

A less expensive alternative might be one of the shuttles. It's been a few years but I think I did Hobby to IAH for around $22 when I had the reverse problem.
