Except for Virgin, all are very small airlines, mainly with Turbo prop aircraft. Following Ansett (*star) demise most have come from the ashes of Ansett.
Generally the same price as QF where they both fly. Otherwise generally more expensive mile for mile on non-contested routes compared to a QF or Virgin discount price for a similar distance
An advantage in seat availabilty, but no FF schemes
