The day of departure, log on to CO.com, go into your reservation and change your FF # from CO to AF. That you you cash in on Elite Access and EUAs, but still get credit on AF. I did it last year after getting re-qualified as PLAT. I had all my subsequent flights credited to FB to get FB status. You do not get EUAs on AF on transatlantic flights, but you do get bumped up front quite a bit on European flights and you get more luggage allowance as an elite.
But if you change your frequent flyer number to a non-CO or NW elite number after you have been EUA'd, you lose your EUA, no?
