I still have it on a paper ticket, but of course, the whole reason for putting it all in one reservation was to oblige Delta and SAA to get me to my destination should one of the flights be late.
Will my paper itinerary suffice in that regard? Or are they going to pull up the itinerary on the computer and tell me I'm screwed?
I think I'll call SAA this morning and try to confirm that part.
Many times, non-delta flights booked with DL do not show up on the web site. Only recently have most of the Skyteam segments begun to show on Delta.com.
The reason for the paper ticket is probably because SAA does not yet have e-ticket reciprocity with DL, which could be why the SAA legs do not show up on the web site.
On my RTW ticket last year, more than 1/2 the flight legs did not show up on delta.com (paper ticket). This year is was an e-ticket RTW and all the legs showed (but all were on Skyteam airlines).
In other words, it should be no problem WRT the SAA legs.
Upgrades are another matter.
