The POINT I am trying to amke is WHY we dont have delied boarding when most other civilised countries offer compensation to anyone who is bumped off a flight neacuse of overboking. Why is Qantas and indeed every Australian airline relieved of this duty.
The point is she was denied boarding as they were overboked and if that happend on UA or AA she would have had a $400 voucher shoved in her hand.
Why is Australia different.
She had a busines meeting that she missed .
That is the point. if she wanted to go on a later flight she would have booked the later flight.
Also why was she wasnt given food or bev voucher whilst waiting.

Cuz Qantas is the only airline she can fly in the future, no matter if there were compensation or not? QF doesn't give a dam* about how they treat an individual pax... imho...
