This is why I hate flying into MIA. Most of the immigration officers are nice, but some need to learn that intimidation is not productive. Customs? The worst. And what IS the worst about MIA is the baggage claim.

I flew MIA-LIM-MIA last month. In LIM, got my bags less than 20 minutes after arrival. On the way back, decided to sit in the back of the plane and take my time to immigration. What's the point of rushing? I'm still going to wait at baggage claim.

My friend and I sat in the private immigration room why he had to get cleared (for the 4th time in 6 months, by the way, because his name is "too common"). We finally arrived to baggage claim about 70 minutes after landing. Still, no bags. At least only 5 minutes later, we were ready for Phase II-- customs. Then of course for the luck of my friend, we had to have our bags scanned.

I've considered switching to CO just to fly FLL-IAH-LIM and back. But it's not going to happen. I'll just tolerate it and vent on this board about MIA.
