I know the rooms at the Park Hyatt are celebrated, and the hotel has many fans, even on this forum, but for what it could cost by taxi to traverse this distance, I'd go for a hotel on Odaiba (or the Intercontinental Tokyo Bay) and get one of the plusher rooms or even a suite as a consolation 'prize' - it couldn't possibly be more than what it would cost to make this journey by taxi every day from the PH.

My guesstimate (based on what it costs to go from Roppongi to the Interconti... about 1,500yen) is that the trip would cost at least $80-$100 each way.

If you are intent on staying at the Park Hyatt and won't have anything to do with the trains, the only serious advice I can give you is to contact http://www.tokyoairporter.com/.

We used them for a trip from NRT to Yokohama (just next to the Pan Pacific there) and the journey cost us 25,000yen in one of their larger vehicles (and took an hour almost exactly - we were lucky with traffic). MK Taxis (who are one of the more reliable taxi companies) wanted 40,000 yen for the same journey!

www.tokyoairporter.com do more than just airport transfers. Send them an email and ask for a quote and they'll probably get back to you within a few hours - the price will be fixed, so you won't end up with a staggering bill if you wind up in a traffic jam.

I can't recommend a 'taxi' firm more highly than this one. It's a shame I can't remember the guy who drove us, he was fantastic. He lived in Shinjuku, spoke fantastic English (lived on the West Coast of America for a while) and is the only 'cool' golfer I've ever met . Lovely man^

P.S. Just to add - we had a LOT of luggage with us, hence the need to pay a slight premium for this route. Tokyoairporter normally charges 22,000yen for a NRT-Yokohama one way trip, and 18,000yen for a Tokyo drop off point.
Regulars will know that I'm the last person who would advise getting a taxi from the airport - but if there is a group of you, and you are arriving on business, this might be the best option.
NRT to Tokyo is 21,000yen for an 8 seater car, and 29,000yen for a 13 seater.
